8 CE - The Human Journey of Touch explores the role of therapeutic touch across major stages and transitions of human life. Participants examine how developmental, physiological, functional, emotional, and end-of-life considerations influence massage therapy practice from infancy through older adulthood. The course emphasizes age-appropriate adaptation, communication, safety, client autonomy, comfort, and individualized care. Learners will consider how touch can be adapted as people move through growth, activity, midlife, aging, serious illness, palliative care, and the end of life.  Earn 8 CEs with this NCBTMB approved course. This is the LIVE CLASSROOM version of this class.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe major developmental and life-stage considerations that influence massage therapy.
2. Identify age-appropriate adaptations in positioning, pressure, pacing, communication, and session structure.
3. Explain how growth, function, aging, serious illness, and end-of-life considerations can affect massage planning.
4. Apply consent, communication, safety, and scope-of-practice principles across lifespan populations.
5. Adapt massage strategies to individual goals, tolerance, functional needs, and client feedback.
6. Identify situations requiring additional precautions, collaboration, or referral.
7. Compare the goals of wellness, functional support, comfort-focused, palliative, and end-of-life touch.
8. Develop an individualized touch plan for a lifespan-based client scenario.
